The study, conducted by PMP Strategy, examines how generative AI will affect revenue streams for creators across multiple disciplines, including songwriters, composers, translators, directors, and screenwriters. Key aspects include:

  • Economic projections of the AI content market size
  • Analysis of potential creator income losses
  • Revenue growth trends for AI companies
  • Impact on the creative industry ecosystem

A panel discussion will feature:

  • Björn Ulvaeus (CISAC President)
  • Angeles González-Sinde Reig (Vice President and film director)
  • Marcelo Castello Branco (Board Chair)
  • Gadi Oron (Director General)

CISAC, representing six million creators worldwide, commissioned the study to advocate for protecting human-made works in the AI content market. Ulvaeus emphasizes the urgency of action, stating, "AI will bring the biggest revolution the creative sector has seen. We must act now."

The organization supports the EU's AI Act as a crucial first step in protecting creators' rights. CISAC has already submitted an open letter to policymakers outlining regulatory recommendations for AI in the creative industry.
