Audacy employees during mass layoffs meeting
In St. Louis, WHHL's entire staff was terminated as the station transitions from hip-hop to sports format.
These changes follow significant executive departures:
- CEO David Field stepped down in January after 27 years
- CFO Rich Schmaeling resigned in February
- Kelli Turner now serves as interim president and CEO
An Audacy spokesperson stated these reductions aim to "ensure a strong and resilient future" and maintain competitiveness in the evolving media landscape.
