Create Music Group Takes 50% Stake in Enhanced Music After $165M Investment Round
Create Music Group has acquired a 50% stake in London-based dance label Enhanced Music, following their recent $165 million investment. Enhanced Music, founded by Will Holland in 2007, is known for releasing contemporary dance music and managing publishing rights for thousands of tracks.
Electronic music duo Tritonal
The label, partly owned by Tritonal members Chad Cisneros and David Reed, has released music from artists like Matt Fax, Blonde Maze, and Noise Zoo. Their publishing portfolio includes works by The Chainsmokers, Wiz Khalifa, and Tiësto.
Under the new arrangement, Will Holland will continue leading Enhanced Music, while Create Music Group's CEO Jonathan Strauss and SVP Eric Nguyen join the label's board. Create Music Group, valued at $1 billion, now employs over 400 people globally.
This acquisition follows a trend of significant dance music investments in 2024:
- BMG acquired interests in multiple Eurodance catalogs
- Believe purchased 25% of Romania's Global Records
- Armada Music's BEAT fund acquired Amsterdam's Cloud 9 Music publishing
- BEAT secured stakes in several prominent dance music works
Create Music Group VP Adam Shomer emphasized Enhanced's consistent growth and strategic fit, noting the synergies in genre and rights management that align with their business model. This deal follows Create's recent acquisition of UK label Ostereo.
