Earthcore Festival in Crisis as Multiple Artists Cancel Over Payment Issues
More than 10 artists have announced their withdrawal from Australia's Earthcore Festival just days before its scheduled start on November 23rd, citing failed payments from organizers.
DJ duo Coming Soon and Phaxe publicly announced their cancellations on Facebook, stating the festival owner failed to pay them or book their flights despite repeated promises. The duo, with 15 years of industry experience, called the situation unprecedented and advised fans to request ticket refunds.
"We have to mention that [we've never been] treated like that ever in our 15 years in the industry and we will never work with this promoter ever again," Coming Soon stated, adding that numerous other artists would also withdraw due to payment issues.

The festival organizers attempted to downplay the situation, claiming on their Facebook page that Coming Soon and another artist, Bliss, withdrew due to "double-booking" issues.
Earthcore, established in 1992, reached its peak in 2000 with 45,000 attendees at the seven-day EDM festival. This crisis follows a challenging year for music festivals globally, including the infamous Fyre Festival collapse, Pemberton Music Festival's bankruptcy, and the Gathering festival's controversial execution.

According to Coming Soon, the promoter allegedly continued using artists' names for ticket sales despite knowing they couldn't afford to pay them, raising serious concerns about the festival's viability.
