Ed Sheeran and Cradle of Filth Collaboration Complete - Release Date Remains Unknown
A surprising collaboration between Ed Sheeran and extreme metal band Cradle of Filth has been recorded but remains unreleased due to timing and management constraints.
Cradle of Filth's frontman Dani Filth confirmed the completion of the track during a recent interview with The Downbeat Podcast, revealing it was recorded approximately two years ago. The song, which focuses on self-affirmation, combines Sheeran's signature acoustic style with Cradle of Filth's extreme metal elements.

"It's fucking fantastic," Filth told Metal Hammer, describing the track as "a cross between Ed Sheeran and Cradle of Filth." The collaboration features Sheeran's recognizable acoustic guitar work alongside Cradle of Filth's signature blast beats and Filth's screaming vocals.
The song won't appear on Cradle of Filth's upcoming album, "The Screaming of the Valkyries," set for release in April. According to Filth, this decision was made to prevent the collaboration from overshadowing the album. While Sheeran's management team has been hesitant about a high-profile release, both parties intend to release the track eventually.
The finished track has been mixed and is currently awaiting release, though only a select few have heard the final version. The timing of its release remains uncertain, as both artists continue to coordinate their respective schedules and management preferences.
