Eventix has partnered with Spotify to integrate ticket sales directly on the streaming platform, allowing event organizers to promote and sell tickets through artists' Spotify pages. The integration enables direct linking to Eventix-powered ticket shops, similar to existing partnerships with Ticketmaster, See Tickets, and AXS.

Key aspects of the partnership:

  • Event organizers can display tickets across multiple Spotify channels
  • Spotify will receive a commission on ticket sales
  • Organizers must opt-in to participate in the program
  • Implementation varies among festivals, with some actively promoting on artist pages while others haven't yet utilized the integration

Eventix CEO Joost Aanen emphasized the partnership's significance: "This partnership is a step towards bridging the gap between artists and their audiences. It's about promoting your events where the fans are, and there's no better place for that than Spotify."

The integration builds upon Spotify's existing event discovery features:

  • Launched revamped Live Events Feed in June 2022
  • Replaced previous Concert Hub
  • Focuses on personalized event recommendations
  • Partners with major ticketing platforms

Recent developments in Spotify's event strategy include:

  • February 2024 integration with Bandsintown
  • Bandsintown reported 7.5 billion concert recommendations in 2024
  • Generated over 230 million ticket purchase clicks
  • Increased focus on sponsored live events

The partnership launches amid challenges in the festival sector, with over 170 events cancelled in 2024 and early signs of sales slowdown for 2025. The commercial impact of this integration will be closely monitored as the industry navigates these challenges.
