
FireAid Surpasses $100M in Wildfire Relief, First Grants to Deploy Mid-February
FireAid has successfully raised over $100 million for wildfire relief efforts, with the first wave of grants expected to be distributed by mid-February. The fundraising initiative continues to accept donations through February 7th, with Steve and Connie Ballmer matching all contributions dollar for dollar.

The impressive total comes from multiple sources:
- Ticket sales from benefit performances
- Corporate sponsorships
- Merchandise revenue
- Public donations
- Private contributions from industry leaders including Irving Azoff, U2, the Eagles, and the Hauptman family
The Annenberg Foundation is leading the FireAid Grants Advisory Committee, which comprises experienced LA-region philanthropic leaders. They are currently finalizing the distribution strategy to ensure funds reach those most in need.
Additional wildfire relief efforts include:
- The Grammy Awards raising $24 million
- Jelly Roll's free Rose Bowl show for first responders
- NAMM's dedicated relief fund
- Live Nation's Gve a Fck LA benefit concert at Hollywood Palladium
- Bandcamp's upcoming February 7th profit donation to MusiCares
- "Give a Frock" memorabilia auction running until February 25th
The benefit performances attracted over 50 million viewers, making FireAid one of the most successful music industry charitable initiatives for wildfire relief to date.
