A Missouri woman has pleaded guilty in a brazen scheme to fraudulently auction off Elvis Presley's iconic Graceland mansion. Lisa Jeanine Findley faces federal mail fraud charges for attempting to sell the property without any legal right to do so.

The scheme involved Findley creating fictitious documents claiming Lisa Marie Presley had borrowed $3.8 million using Graceland as collateral. She then demanded a $2.85 million settlement from the Presley family, threatening to auction the property if unpaid. Findley impersonated three different individuals and forged multiple documents, including a fraudulent foreclosure notice.

Riley Keough, Elvis Presley's granddaughter and current owner of Graceland, filed a lawsuit exposing the fraud. The lawsuit revealed that Findley's fake company, Naussany Investments and Private Lending, had fabricated documents with a forged notary signature from Kimberly Philbrick, who confirmed never meeting Lisa Marie Presley or notarizing any related documents.

The Tennessee Attorney General's office investigated the case before referring it to federal authorities. Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti praised the resolution, emphasizing Graceland's importance as a global cultural landmark that welcomes visitors from around the world.

Findley's sentencing is scheduled for June 18. Through a plea agreement, she will likely receive a significantly reduced sentence from the initial 20-year maximum, with the additional charge of aggravated identity theft being dropped.

Graceland, which opened as a museum in 1982, remains safely in possession of Elvis Presley's heir and continues to operate as one of Memphis's most celebrated tourist attractions, alongside its adjacent entertainment complex owned by Elvis Presley Enterprises.
