Clive Davis' pre-Grammy gala, marking its 50th anniversary, will continue as scheduled on Grammy night. The event is expected to include a charitable component supporting wildfire victims.

MusiCares' Person of the Year celebration will honor The Grateful Dead on January 31, featuring tributes to Jerry Garcia and Phil Lesh, along with recognition of original members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, and Bobby Weir.

The Recording Academy and MusiCares have jointly pledged $1 million to support music professionals affected by the fires. CEO Harvey Mason Jr. announced that this year's Grammy telecast will focus on raising additional funds for wildfire relief efforts and honoring first responders.

Major music companies including Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, and Sony Music Group have cancelled their Grammy week events. The status of other Grammy week activities, such as the Special Merit Awards (February 1), remains uncertain.

Previous MusiCares Person of the Year honorees include Jon Bon Jovi, Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, Joni Mitchell, Aerosmith, Dolly Parton, and Fleetwood Mac.
