Instagram has rolled out major updates to its direct messaging (DMs) system, introducing new features for music sharing, translation, message scheduling, and more.

Message Translation Hold down on any message and tap 'Translate' to instantly see the text in your preferred language below the original message, enabling seamless communication with global connections.

Music Sharing in DMs Share 30-second song previews directly in chats:

• Open the sticker tray in chat
• Tap 'Music'
• Search for any song in Instagram's audio library
• Select to send a preview with spinning vinyl album art

Message Scheduling Schedule messages for future delivery:

• Type your message
• Hold down the send button
• Select date and time
• Tap 'Send' to confirm scheduling

Pinned Messages

• Pin up to three important messages at the top of chats
• Hold down message and tap 'Pin' to set
• Tap and select 'Unpin' to remove
• Pinned messages remain visible each time the chat is opened

Group Chat QR Codes

• Each group chat now has a unique QR code
• Share code for instant group access
• Admins can refresh codes to control access
• Eliminates need for manual member addition

These updates enhance Instagram's messaging capabilities, making it more versatile for artists, creators, and regular users to communicate and share content effectively.
