Jane's Addiction band members Eric Avery, Stephen Perkins, and Dave Navarro are recording new music together without lead singer Perry Farrell. This development comes four months after an on-stage incident in Boston where Farrell attacked Navarro, leading to the cancellation of their reunion tour.

Eric Avery recently shared a recording session video on Instagram, mentioning new material with Stephen's drumming and anticipated contributions from Dave Navarro, slated for 2025. Both Perkins and Navarro have also acknowledged the collaboration on social media.

This isn't the first time band members have collaborated without Farrell. In 1991, Navarro and Avery formed Deconstruction, releasing one self-titled album in 1994 before Navarro joined Red Hot Chili Peppers. Navarro recently reflected on the Deconstruction project, praising the musical chemistry with Avery and describing the album as "more cinematic and soundscapey than traditional song-oriented."

The band's recent split occurred after what they described as "a continuing pattern of behavior and mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell," which led to the cancellation of their remaining tour dates.

While the new collaboration hasn't been officially labeled as Deconstruction 2.0, it marks a significant new chapter for the former Jane's Addiction members as they continue making music together without their original frontman.
