Kendrick Lamar's performance at this year's Super Bowl halftime show has led to a massive surge in his Spotify streaming numbers, particularly for his controversial track "Not Like Us."

The Drake diss track experienced the most significant increase, with streams jumping over 430% in the hours following the performance. The song, which recently earned Lamar five Grammy Awards, was performed despite potential legal implications from Drake's team regarding defamation claims.

Other songs from Lamar's halftime set also saw substantial increases:

  • "Humble" - 300% increase
  • "All the Stars" (featuring SZA) - 290% increase
  • "man at the garden," "DNA.," "euphoria," "squabble up," and "peekaboo" - 230-260% increase
  • "luther" and "tv off" - 170%+ increase

Lamar's overall catalog experienced a 175% boost in listenership, while his guest performer SZA saw an 80% increase in her Spotify streams following the show.

"Not Like Us," which has spent two weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 20 weeks atop the Hot Rap Songs chart, was performed with most of its original lyrics intact, though notably omitting certain controversial content. The performance helped solidify the track's position as one of 2024's biggest hits, adding to Lamar's impressive total of 22 Grammy wins throughout his career.
