Meta Quest is launching an innovative VR concert featuring Shawn Mendes at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, offering fans an immersive 180-degree concert experience from one of music's most iconic venues.

The 83-minute concert, premiering January 24 at 5 pm PT in Meta Horizon Music Valley, is a collaboration between Meta, Dorsey Pictures, 7 Cinematics, and Light Sail VR. The performance will be available to Meta Quest 3S, Quest 3, Quest 2, and Quest Pro users.

Viewers can expect to hear Mendes' biggest hits, including "Stitches," "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back," "In My Blood," and "Why Why Why." The custom-made VR experience takes full advantage of Red Rocks' natural acoustics and stunning scenery, providing viewers with an intimate front-row perspective.

"Red Rocks was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in my life," says Mendes. "That night was so special to me, and I'm so happy to be able to bring it to those who couldn't be there in person."

Sarah Malkin, Director of Metaverse Entertainment Content at Meta, emphasizes the concert's goal of creating an intimate connection between Mendes and his fans. The experience aims to capture the energy and emotion of the live performance while making it accessible to fans worldwide.
