Offset Defies Label's Russian Boycott, Announces Moscow Concert Date
Offset has announced an upcoming performance in Moscow, Russia on April 18, despite his label Universal Music Group's ongoing boycott of the country following the Ukraine invasion.

The rapper, signed to UMG's Motown Records, will perform at a venue in Moscow with tickets ranging from 5,000 to 45,000 Russian rubles ($55-$490 USD). The show is being promoted through a dedicated Russian website that markets Offset as "a showman who turns a concert into a theatrical performance."
This announcement comes after UMG, along with Sony Music, Warner Music, and Live Nation, suspended all operations in Russia in 2022. Fellow rapper DaBaby, also signed to a UMG label, recently performed in Moscow on February 28, where local musicians welcomed him with a traditional folk song performance.
The Moscow show is notably absent from Motown Records' official listings, and representatives for Offset, Universal, and Independent Artist Group have not responded to requests for comment.
Performers in Russia must exercise caution regarding local laws, as demonstrated by WNBA star Brittney Griner's 10-month detention for possessing cannabis oil cartridges, which are illegal in the country.
Offset recently released "Ten" through Capitol Records on February 14. The rapper is currently finalizing his divorce from Cardi B, seeking joint custody of their three children.
