Paramount+ is producing a new feature-length documentary "Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now," offering an intimate look at the rock legend's recent struggles and his preparation for a final performance.

The documentary, currently in production and set to premiere on Paramount+ later this year, chronicles Osbourne's journey since his life-altering fall in 2019 and his battle with various health issues, including Parkinson's disease.

Directed by BAFTA Award winner Tania Alexander, filming began in early 2022 during the recording of Ozzy's 13th studio album, Patient Number 9. The documentary will culminate with Ozzy's final performance alongside Black Sabbath in Birmingham on July 5.

"The last six years have been full of some of the worst times I've been through," Ozzy reveals. "Making music and making two albums saved me. I'd have gone nuts without music."

The film features exclusive access to the Osbourne family and includes interviews with notable musicians:

  • Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath)
  • Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses)
  • Robert Trujillo (Metallica)
  • Billy Idol
  • Maynard James Keenan
  • Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
  • Zakk Wylde

Sharon Osbourne emphasizes the documentary's authenticity: "It shows how hard things have been for him and the courage he has shown while dealing with serious health issues. We hope that story will inspire people facing similar issues."

The project is produced by Echo Velvet in partnership with the Osbournes and MTV Entertainment Studios, with executive producers Bruce Gillmer, Amanda Culkowski, Phil Alexander, and Sharon Osbourne.
