Sean 'Diddy' Combs Claims Government Illegally Leaked Cassie Attack Video to CNN
Sean 'Diddy' Combs has accused federal prosecutors of leaking hotel security camera footage showing him attacking Cassie Ventura in 2016. However, prosecutors firmly deny these allegations.

The footage, obtained by CNN in May, forced Combs to acknowledge the incident and issue a public apology for actions he had previously denied. Prosecutors stated in a letter to the judge that they did not possess the video before CNN's publication, nor did they obtain it through grand jury proceedings.
Combs, currently held without bail, faces charges including sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy. His legal team argues that information leaks have created prejudicial publicity that could compromise his right to a fair trial.
Defense attorneys Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos have requested a trial date in April or May 2025. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges and faces multiple civil lawsuits from alleged victims.
