The festival, originally scheduled for April 12, 2025, at the Las Vegas festival grounds, had announced its impressive lineup just six weeks ago. The roster included major acts such as:

  • Queens of the Stone Age
  • AFI
  • Evanescence
  • The Flaming Lips
  • Ministry
  • 311
  • Gojira
  • Acid Bath (first show in almost 30 years)
  • Cradle of Filth
  • Orgy
  • Cannibal Corpse
  • Mastodon

Ticket holders who purchased through Front Gate Tickets will receive automatic refunds within 30 days. While the specific reasons for cancellation weren't disclosed, the organizers' statement suggested the festival might return in the future, possibly in 2026.

The cancellation follows a trend of music festivals facing challenges due to mounting costs in 2024 and 2025. Festival organizers expressed gratitude to fans who had planned to attend this celebration of hard rock, goth, alternative, and heavy music, promising to share updates about future editions of Sick New World.
