SoundCloud Introduces New Budget-Friendly Artist Plan at $3.25 Monthly
SoundCloud artist subscription plan promotion
SoundCloud has introduced a new "Artist" subscription tier, designed to make professional music distribution more accessible for emerging artists. The new plan bridges the gap between Basic and Artist Pro (formerly Next Pro) tiers.
At $3.25 monthly or $39 annually in the U.S., the Artist tier offers:
- 3 hours of upload capacity per month
- Distribution of 2 tracks monthly to major platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok)
- Monetization on SoundCloud and other platforms
- One monthly AI mastering credit
The platform successfully tested this program in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, confirming strong demand for affordable professional music tools among emerging artists.
This launch is part of SoundCloud's broader initiative to enhance its artist services platform, which began in 2022 following the acquisition of Repost in 2019. The company continues to develop new features including monetization tools and merch stores.
Additionally, SoundCloud recently launched "Ascending," a global artist development program that has already supported breakthrough artists like Shaboozey, Barry Can't Swim, and Kenya Grace.
