Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Book Surpasses 1 Million Sales Mark Despite Production Flaws
Taylor Swift's Eras Tour book has surpassed 1 million copies sold within its first week of release, making it the highest-selling new release print book of 2024 and the fastest-selling new release book in four years. The book has also become the best-selling music-themed book since Circana began tracking print sales two decades ago.

The 256-page book, exclusively available at Target for $39.99, features over 500 images including:
- Never-before-seen performance photos from each era
- Exclusive rehearsal photos
- Images of instruments, costumes, and set pieces
- Designer sketches used throughout the tour
- Personal reflections and notes from Taylor Swift
Alongside the book, Target also launched The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology on CD and vinyl. The vinyl edition includes:
- Four marbled, translucent discs
- A 12-by-12-inch exclusive poster
- 35 tracks, including four bonus acoustic songs
Rick Gomez, Target's executive vice president and chief commercial officer, noted the record-breaking response to both releases during Black Friday and Cyber Week. The retailer maintains its strong partnership with Taylor Swift, hosting 10-plus exclusive versions of her albums, including the Phantom Clear vinyl version of The Tortured Poets Department, which set Target's record for largest music pre-order.
