The superstar's sixth studio album, "Hurry Up Tomorrow," will now release on January 31, a week later than originally planned. This album holds particular significance as it will be Tesfaye's final project under The Weeknd persona, though he plans to continue his music career afterward.
"This city has always been a profound source of inspiration for me, and my thoughts are with everyone impacted during this difficult time," stated The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye. He emphasized that his priority is supporting the affected communities during their recovery and reconstruction efforts.
The wildfires, which have claimed over 20 lives, have impacted numerous entertainment events in the area. While the main Grammy Awards ceremony will proceed as scheduled on February 2, related events including the afterparty have been postponed.
