This success reflects a broader trend in mega-tours, with artists like Pink setting new sales records. Live Nation and CTS Eventim continue reporting strong financial performance, while major artists including Toto, Keith Urban, AC/DC, and Kendrick Lamar have announced significant tours for 2025.

However, the live entertainment industry shows a stark contrast between stadium tours and festivals. Over 170 festivals were cancelled in 2024, including notable struggles at Coachella, which failed to sell out for the first time. Even with its impressive 2025 lineup, Weekend 2 passes remained available.

Despite widespread complaints about ticket prices, dedicated fans continue to invest heavily in live performances, particularly for major acts. This dichotomy between successful mega-tours and struggling festivals suggests a shifting landscape in live entertainment, where individual artist performances thrive while traditional festival formats face mounting challenges.
