West One Music Group has announced the acquisition of Q-Factory, a leading trailer music and sound design catalog, to its roster of production music labels. Q-Factory's founder Robert Etoll will join West One's creative team in Los Angeles.
The Q-Factory catalog includes over 3,500 instrumental tracks across 75 albums, all produced or executive produced by Etoll. Known for pioneering sound design and epic hybrid music for licensing, Q-Factory has become the industry standard for movie trailer soundtracks, serving major film studios and TV networks.
Under the global management agreement, West One Music will handle worldwide administrative tasks while MEP Capital retains ownership of Q-Factory. The catalog will be integrated into West One Music's website, marking the company's 16th distinct label.
West One Music, founded in 2002, operates in 15 countries with offices and production studios. The addition of Q-Factory strengthens their position in the production music industry and expands their creative capabilities.
"Joining forces with West One Music enhances Q-Factory's global footprint while maintaining our independent, music-first approach," said Etoll. West One Music's global CEO Edwin Cox added, "Robert is a legend in the trailer production community, and Q-Factory's iconic music and sound design will continue delivering outstanding content to entertainment and consumer marketing."
