Young Thug and AEG Presents End Five-Year Multimillion-Dollar Contract Dispute
Young Thug and AEG Presents have reached a settlement in their multimillion-dollar contract dispute that began nearly five years ago. The lawsuit, which centered on alleged breaches of performance agreements, has been dismissed without prejudice by the presiding judge.

The legal battle initially faced delays due to Young Thug's involvement in gang-related charges, resulting in a 15-year probation sentence and relocation from Georgia. AEG Presents resumed litigation in November 2024, focusing on Young Thug's music IP, which was allegedly used as collateral for contracts worth over $5.2 million in advances.
The dispute intensified when AEG Presents discovered the IP had reportedly been sold to a third party for $16 million, leading to subpoenas for the alleged new owners.
While specific settlement terms remain undisclosed, the court will maintain jurisdiction over the case for one year to enforce the agreement. Young Thug, now 33, is set to return to performing with a scheduled appearance at Les Ardentes on July 5th. As part of his plea deal, he must also perform four charity concerts annually.
