50 Cent has reiterated claims that Jay-Z attempted to block his appearance at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance in Los Angeles. The performance, which featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige, almost didn't include 50 Cent as a surprise guest.

Speaking on Cam'ron's "Talk With Flee" show, 50 Cent explained that Jay-Z, who has been organizing the Super Bowl Halftime Show through Roc Nation since 2019, allegedly told Eminem that the NFL had issues with 50 Cent's participation. The rapper questioned this claim, pointing out his successful business relationships with 11 major league sports teams through his Sire Spirits liquor company.

50 Cent expressed confusion about the competitive nature within hip-hop culture extending beyond music into business blocking, noting that Jay-Z wasn't even actively competing in music at the time. "What are we competing for? What's the goal?" he questioned.

According to 50 Cent's previous statement to The Hollywood Reporter, his inclusion in the show was ultimately secured through Eminem's intervention. "Eminem wouldn't do it without me. That's how I ended up on the show, because he was not coming if I didn't do it," he revealed.

The situation highlights ongoing dynamics within the hip-hop industry, where business relationships and personal rivalries can impact major performance opportunities, even at events as significant as the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
