The acquisition follows Avex's strategic investment in S10 Entertainment last May through Avex USA. The deal includes:

  • Complete acquisition of S10 Music Publishing's catalog
  • Additional stake in S10 Management, making Avex the largest shareholder alongside Silverstein and Roc Nation
  • Formation of Avex Music Group (AMG), incorporating S10 Publishing and Avex USA's assets

Key structural changes:

  • Avex USA employees will join AMG
  • S10's existing team and operations remain unchanged
  • S10 Management maintains separate staff under Silverstein's leadership
  • S10 Records continues as an independent label under Silverstein's ownership

Avex CEO Katsumi Kuroiwa stated this move strengthens their U.S. market presence and positions Avex as a significant force in international music. Silverstein joins as both CEO and board member of AMG, while maintaining his leadership roles in S10 Management and S10 Records.
