Diddy Sexual Assault Accuser Drops Universal Music from Lawsuit — Bad Boy, Mogul Remain Defendants
A sexual assault lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs has been partially dismissed, with Universal Music Group (UMG) being dropped from the case. The lawsuit, filed by model Crystal McKinney, continues against Diddy, Bad Boy Records, Bad Boy Entertainment, and Sean John Clothing.

McKinney alleges that in 2003, Diddy drugged and sexually assaulted her at his New York City studio after promising to advance her career. According to the lawsuit, she was provided with alcohol and marijuana laced with intoxicating substances before the alleged assault occurred.
The original lawsuit included UMG as a defendant, claiming the label "enabled" Diddy's actions and failed to implement proper procedures regarding sexual abuse. However, UMG has now been dismissed from the case "with prejudice and without costs" through a joint filing.
This dismissal follows a similar pattern where UMG, its CEO Lucian Grainge, and Motown were dropped from a separate sexual assault and sex trafficking complaint filed by Rodney Jones.
Diddy currently faces multiple sexual assault cases, including a recent filing that names Penske Media as a defendant. Additionally, Tupac Shakur's estate is reportedly considering legal action against Diddy regarding claims of his involvement in Tupac's murder.
