Diddy's Legal Team Challenges Federal Raid Evidence as Unconstitutional in Trafficking Case
Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team has filed a motion to strike evidence obtained during federal raids on his properties, claiming the search warrants were "unconstitutionally broad" and racially motivated.

Diddy's stern face during legal battle
The motion, filed ahead of his May trial, argues that federal investigators sought "virtually limitless authority" to seize evidence under the premise that Combs' entire life constituted a criminal enterprise. His attorneys claim the warrants permitted extensive seizure of digital devices, iCloud accounts, and various records from his properties.
The legal team's heavily redacted memo states that "the misrepresentations and misleading omissions in the warrants are frequent and patterned." They also allege prosecutors are using "racist" laws to "police non-conforming sexual activity."
Combs faces federal charges including:
- Sex trafficking
- Racketeering
- Multiple other serious allegations
Currently held at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center after being denied bail since his September arrest, Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His defense team is led by attorneys Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos, with Anthony Ricco recently withdrawing from the case.
If convicted, Combs could face life imprisonment. Additionally, he faces numerous civil lawsuits alleging assault and other crimes.
