Donald Glover confirms that Childish Gambino isn't retiring after all, revealing he's actively working on new music in the studio. The artist, who previously announced in 2017 that he would retire the Childish Gambino moniker after his 2020 album "3.15.20," has changed his stance.

During a Golden Globes interview with Laverne Cox, Glover shared that he's been collaborating with "secret people" on new projects. While he's currently making music "for fun," he promised fans that "something will happen" soon. When pressed about whether he'd release under the Childish Gambino name, Glover confirmed fans "don't have to worry about that."

Beyond music, Glover is set to reunite with the Community cast for an upcoming movie shooting in June. Series creator Dan Harmon emphasized the project wouldn't proceed without Glover's involvement, stating "I would not want to think about making [the movie] without Donald."

2023 looks promising for Glover's fans, with both the Community movie and new Childish Gambino music on the horizon. His recent "Redbone" duet with Billie Eilish suggests he's still actively engaged in the music scene.
