The YX Labels name represents multiple concepts:
- A new "aXis" in Japan's music industry
- "You" and "Youth" representation
- "eXtreme" and "eXcellent" entertainment delivery
The label currently manages Japanese boy band &TEAM, which debuted in 2022, and plans to create a new boy band through an upcoming audition show that will showcase contestants' journey and development.
HYBE's global expansion extends to Latin America through two key initiatives:
- HYBE Latin America, launched in 2023
- DOCEMIL Music, a new subsidiary label
DOCEMIL Music's first signing is Emmanuel "Meme" del Real, former member and producer of the acclaimed Mexican rock band Café Tacuba. Del Real, whose band has won multiple Latin Grammy Awards, chose HYBE for its collaborative approach and global reach.
CEO Kah Jong-hyun of HYBE Latin America emphasizes the company's dedication to nurturing Latin American artistic talent. The label plans to debut a locally produced act through an audition program in the latter half of the year.
This expansion strategy, dubbed "HYBE 2.0," demonstrates the company's commitment to becoming a truly global entertainment powerhouse by establishing strong presences in key markets while maintaining local authenticity.
