LA Wildfires Force Multiple Show Cancellations at Kia Forum, Intuit Dome as Death Toll Rises
Devastating wildfires across Los Angeles have forced the cancellation of multiple high-profile live events and concerts. Five fires are currently raging through Southern California, causing five deaths and prompting evacuation orders for over 180,000 residents.

The current situation includes:
- Pacific Palisades Fire: Covers 27 square miles, destroyed hundreds of structures
- Eaton Fire: Killed 5 people, burned 16 square miles and 1,000 structures
- Sunset Fire: Recently contained in Hollywood Hills
- Hurst and Lidia Fires: Partially contained at 10% and 40% respectively
Major event cancellations include:
- Alter Ego Show at Kia Forum
- Rod Wave concert at Intuit Dome
- Igor Levit performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall
- Critics Choice Awards postponed to January 26
Venues are offering full refunds for cancelled events through original points of purchase. The Critics Choice Association CEO Joey Berlin emphasized the profound impact on the community, with all thoughts directed toward those affected by and fighting the fires.
More than 60,000 structures remain under threat as strong winds continue to spread the flames across populated areas. Three of the five fires remain completely uncontained, including the Pacific Palisades and Eaton fires.
