The project aims to produce high-quality AI-generated songs that mimic Fiasco's rapping abilities. The station will be available only at specific times and locations, requiring listeners to use traditional FM radio to access the content.
While some fans have expressed concerns about AI potentially taking focus away from human artists, Fiasco continues to strengthen his presence in academia. He will join Johns Hopkins University's Peabody Institute as a Distinguished Visiting Professor in Fall 2025, teaching rap as part of their new 4-year Hip Hop Degree Program.
Fiasco maintains his existing teaching position at MIT and fellowship at Yale, where his 'Rap Theory and Practice' class offers students comprehensive exposure to rap music creation. The course covers lyric composition, recording, performance, and album creation, while incorporating analysis of existing rap music and peer review workshops.
