Mariah Carey's iconic holiday song "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has become the first holiday track to surpass 2 billion streams on Spotify, while also earning 16x Platinum certification from the RIAA.

"I'm honored to have 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' be the first holiday track on Spotify to reach two billion streams!" Carey expressed. "I'm grateful to all Spotify listeners around the world who've made the song part of their holiday tradition year after year."

Originally released in November 1994, the Christmas classic has seen remarkable growth on streaming platforms over the past five years, with global streams increasing by 120%. Since November 1, the song has experienced an 860% increase in global streams and a 1,100% increase in the United States. The track has topped Spotify's Daily Top Songs chart in 21 countries every Christmas since 2016.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of her album "Merry Christmas," Carey embarked on a 20-city tour through December 17, visiting major cities across the United States. Fans can also catch her Christmas Gameday Show Open on Netflix on December 25.

While the song maintains massive popularity, recent Last.fm data suggests its peak streaming numbers may be slightly lower compared to 2019 and previous years, though it remains one of the most-streamed holiday songs of all time.
