Netflix Adds Spatial Audio Support Exclusively to Original Series and Films
Netflix now offers spatial audio support for select Netflix Originals through a partnership with Sennheiser. The feature began rolling out on July 7, utilizing Sennheiser's AMBEO 2-Channel spatial audio technology to convert immersive mixes into enhanced two-channel audio.

Netflix is the first streaming platform to implement this technology, which works with standard two-channel speaker systems. Scott Kramer, Manager for Sound Technology at Netflix, notes that the process preserves the original sound mix while delivering a more immersive audio experience.
Currently, 27 Netflix Originals support spatial audio, including popular titles such as:
- Stranger Things
- The Witcher
- Red Notice
- The Adam Project
- Resident Evil
- Locke & Key
- Castlevania
- Archive 81
- Warrior Nun
- Fear Street Trilogy
- Black Summer
- The Haunting of Bly Manor
To find content with spatial audio support, users can simply search "spatial audio" on Netflix. The feature complements Netflix's existing premium features like 4K, HDR, Dolby Atmos, and Netflix Calibrated Mode, enhancing the overall viewing experience through improved audio immersion.
The technology works alongside existing audio features without requiring additional hardware beyond standard stereo speakers, making it accessible to a broader audience while maintaining the creators' intended sound design.
