The innovative glass structure will feature floor-to-ceiling panels that maintain the venue's signature views of lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge while providing climate-controlled comfort. During winter months, the enclosed space will accommodate 3,000 guests and include a new VIP balcony level. In spring, the structure will be removed to restore the open-air format with a 3,500-person capacity.

Live Nation will continue as the exclusive booking partner following a five-year extension with Seaport Entertainment Group. The winter enclosure will enable approximately 25 additional performances during late fall and winter, expanding upon the current schedule of 60+ concerts held between May and October.

Anton Nikodemus, CEO of Seaport Entertainment Group, emphasizes that the year-round venue will deliver "an unparalleled experience for both artists and guests" regardless of season. Stacie George, Senior Vice President of Booking at Live Nation Northeast, notes that the venue's intimate atmosphere and stunning city views create a uniquely special setting for live music.

The transformation ensures The Rooftop at Pier 17 can offer its distinctive concert experience throughout the year while protecting attendees from winter weather without sacrificing the venue's celebrated aesthetics and atmosphere.
