Rihanna is currently signed to Def Jam Recordings and Roc Nation, with both labels playing significant roles in her music career. She first signed with Def Jam Recordings in 2005 when she was just 16 years old, in a deal orchestrated by then-president Jay-Z.

During her initial signing with Def Jam, Rihanna released multiple successful albums including "Music of the Sun" (2005), "Good Girl Gone Bad" (2007), and "Rated R" (2009). The label has been instrumental in distributing her music globally and managing her recording career.

In 2014, Rihanna made a significant move by transitioning her management to Roc Nation, which was also founded by Jay-Z. While maintaining her recording contract with Def Jam, this partnership with Roc Nation expanded her business ventures beyond music, including her successful Fenty Beauty line and other entrepreneurial projects.

It's worth noting that Rihanna's relationship with these labels has evolved over time. Rather than being just a traditional artist-label arrangement, she has leveraged these partnerships to build her broader business empire. Under these labels, she has released eight studio albums and achieved numerous Billboard Hot 100 hits.

Her current label situation reflects the modern music industry's complex structure, where artists often maintain multiple business relationships to maximize their creative and commercial potential. Through these partnerships, Rihanna has established herself not just as a recording artist but as a global entertainment and business mogul.

I should mention that while Rihanna hasn't released a full album since "Anti" in 2016, her label relationships remain active, supporting both her music catalog and various business ventures.
