Sony and Honda's Afeela EV Names Spotify as Exclusive Entertainment Partner
Sony Honda Mobility's electric vehicle project Afeela has announced Spotify as its exclusive in-dash entertainment partner. The announcement came during CES in Las Vegas, alongside pricing and pre-order details for their upcoming EV models.

The Afeela lineup includes two trim options:
- Afeela 1 Origin: Starting at $89,900
- Afeela 1 Signature: Starting at $102,900
Both models include a three-year subscription to in-car features, including driver assist and an AI-powered personal assistant. The Spotify integration will provide users with:
- Direct access to over 100 million songs
- 6 million podcast titles
- 350,000 audiobooks
- Personalized recommendations
- Recently played songs
- Custom playlists

- Built-in Tesla Supercharger network support
- Available exclusively in "Core Black"

Currently, pre-orders are only available in California with a $200 refundable deposit. The vehicle features a "near final" design according to CEO Yasuhide Mizuno, though questions remain about certain design elements, such as the no door handles concept.
