The split appears to stem from complications surrounding the release of SOS's deluxe version, Lana. SZA addressed the situation on Instagram, noting difficulties in coordinating track releases after Punch's "abrupt" departure, specifically mentioning songs "PSA" and "Take You Down."

Despite the challenges, SZA maintains a respectful stance, requesting fans not attack Punch on social media. "I love Punch deeply," she stated, adding that "Sometimes people grow apart, and that's okay."

Their partnership yielded remarkable success, including two acclaimed albums:

• Ctrl (2017)
• SOS (2022) - Which topped the Billboard 200 for 10 consecutive weeks

While TDE hasn't issued an official statement regarding the separation, SZA's social media posts suggest an amicable split despite recent complications. The artist continues to emphasize mutual respect and professional growth as she moves forward in her career independently.
