Taylor Swift's Target-exclusive Eras Tour book has achieved remarkable success, selling over 814,000 copies during the Thanksgiving weekend, marking it as 2024's biggest publishing launch. This achievement places the book just shy of Barack Obama's "A Promised Land," which sold 816,000 copies in its first week in 2020.

The $39.99 book's success came despite some fan complaints about Target exclusivity and reported content errors. Neither Swift nor Target has addressed these concerns publicly.

This success adds to Swift's impressive track record of non-traditional releases, including her Eras Tour concert film, which generated over $200 million at the box office and became history's highest-grossing concert movie. The film's distribution bypassed traditional Hollywood studios, with Swift working directly with theater chains AMC and Cinemark.

Swift's influence in publishing extends beyond this release. Other successful publications include Wendy Loggia's "Taylor Swift: A Little Golden Book Biography," along with various Swift-inspired works ranging from coloring books to cocktail recipe collections.

Following her extensive Eras World Tour, Swift has announced plans for a year-long break to focus on her personal life, including her relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce.
