Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge has expressed concerns about the UK's proposed AI regulations in a recent Times column, particularly regarding the protection of creative works.

The UK is currently considering an "opt-out" system for AI training, which would allow AI developers to use protected works unless rightsholders explicitly opt out. This proposal has faced significant opposition from both music industry professionals and other creative sectors.

In his column, Grainge emphasized three key points:
