
Universal Music Group and Music Health Alliance Create Mental Health Fund for Music Industry Professionals
Universal Music Group (UMG) and Music Health Alliance (MHA) have joined forces to launch the Music Industry Mental Health Fund, offering comprehensive mental health support for music industry professionals nationwide.

The new initiative expands upon their existing four-year partnership, which has already helped nearly 1,000 artists access healthcare services. The fund will provide:
- Personalized recommendations for mental health counselors and psychiatrists
- Financial grants to offset treatment costs
- Funding resource recommendations for continuous care
- 24-hour response time for initial inquiries
- Access to MHA's team of healthcare advocates
Services are available to both current and former music professionals, extending beyond UMG's network. The program includes comprehensive healthcare support through:
- Dental care via the Richard M. Bates SMILE Fund
- Group health services
- Individual and family health insurance
- Senior care support and Medicare assistance
- Vision care resources
Susan Mazo, UMG's Chief Impact Officer, emphasizes this partnership as the most effective way to ensure continuous mental health support within the industry. MHA Founder and CEO Tatum Hauck Allsep highlights their organization's ability to provide comprehensive resources, including financial assistance, psychiatric support, and intensive outpatient programs.
