The disco group Village People will perform their iconic hits, including "Macho Man" and "Y.M.C.A.," at two inaugural events: Trump's "victory rally" at Capitol One Arena and the Liberty Inaugural Ball. The group stated on Facebook that they hope their music will help unite the country after a divisive campaign.
Carrie Underwood will perform "America the Beautiful" during the inauguration ceremony, accompanied by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club. Underwood expressed her gratitude, stating she feels "humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity."
Additional performances include classical crossover singer Christopher Macchio, who will deliver a musical selection before the vice presidential swearing-in ceremony of JD Vance.
The inauguration events will take place in Washington, D.C., on January 20, coinciding with the Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday.
