Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. stated the event will take place "in close coordination with local authorities" to ensure public safety and responsible resource use. This year's ceremony will have an additional focus on raising funds for wildfire relief efforts and honoring first responders.

The Recording Academy and MusiCares have already launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort with an initial $1 million donation, which has grown to over $2 million in distributed emergency aid for affected music professionals.

Currently, approximately 92,000 people remain under evacuation orders, with an additional 89,000 in areas under evacuation warnings. The death toll has reached 25 people.

Universal Music Group has cancelled all Grammy-related events, including their artist showcase and afterparty, redirecting these resources to wildfire relief efforts. In their statement, UMG expressed commitment to supporting the music community, artists, teams, and Los Angeles residents through this crisis.
