The acquired rights include Blackpink's "Yeah Yeah Yeah" and "Ready For Love," Jisoo's "Flower," "All Eyes On Me," and Bigbang's "Still Life." Story has already demonstrated success in this space, having previously sold tokenized hits from artists like Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, and Maroon 5. Their initial project raised $10 million, with $7 million generated in just the first 10 minutes.
According to a Story spokesperson, the company obtained "partial copyright and income directly from one or more producers involved in the creation of these songs." Investors can expect an estimated 6-8% annualized royalty yield over the next five years on these tokenized rights.
This development coincides with Blackpink member Lisa Manobal's expansion into acting, as she makes her debut in Season 3 of HBO Max's "The White Lotus."
