A$AP Rocky Declines Plea Deal in Firearm Assault Case, Heads to Trial
A$AP Rocky has rejected a plea deal in his ongoing firearm assault case involving former friend A$AP Relli, choosing to proceed to trial. The deal would have included three years' probation, a seven-year suspended prison sentence, and 180 days in county jail in exchange for pleading guilty to assault with a semiautomatic firearm.

The case stems from a November 6, 2021 incident where Terell Ephron (A$AP Relli) claims Rocky fired a gun at him, with bullets grazing his knuckles. Rocky currently faces two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
Defense attorney Joe Tacopina has stated they have two witnesses prepared to testify that the gun shown in security footage was merely a prop carried for security purposes. Rocky is reportedly confident about an acquittal and is willing to testify if necessary.
The rapper, who was recently named a celebrity chair of the Met Gala and cast in an upcoming Spike Lee film with Denzel Washington, could face significant consequences if convicted. The trial will proceed following jury selection.
