Musical AI, a genAI music rights startup, has secured $2.1 million CAD (approximately $1.5 million) in funding, led by Canadian venture capital firm Build Ventures and supported by various angel investors. The company plans to launch an additional seed funding round in the first half of the year.

The platform serves as a marketplace connecting AI companies with music rights holders, including partners like Symphonic Distribution, Kanjian, and Beatoven. What sets Musical AI apart is its advanced technology that analyzes AI-generated music outputs to accurately distribute revenues among original music input creators.
