Downtown Music Publishing Renews Global Publishing Deal with Tori Amos

Downtown Music Publishing has renewed its partnership with acclaimed singer-songwriter Tori Amos, continuing to represent her complete musical catalog. The renewal extends their initial 2018 agreement.

Since her 1992 debut album "Little Earthquakes," Amos has established herself as a pivotal figure in alternative music, known for her classical piano training and poetic songwriting. Her hits include "Crucify," "Cornflake Girl," and "A Sorta Fairytale."

John Witherspoon, Amos' Artist Manager, praised Downtown's dedication to preserving and promoting her artistic legacy, which spans over three decades.

The publisher has also extended agreements with several other influential artists and catalogs:

  • George Gershwin, DuBose and Dorothy Heyward (creators of "Porgy and Bess")
  • Remi Kabaka (Afro-rock drummer known for work with Paul Simon and Gorillaz)
  • Tim Kellett (The Durutti Column, Simply Red)
  • Les Claypool (Primus bassist and songwriter)
  • Geoff Wilkinson (Us3 founder)
  • Brett Dennen (acclaimed songwriter)
