Houston Attorney Sues Roc Nation, Claims Illegal Payments To Attack His Law Firm
Houston attorney Tony Buzbee has filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z's Roc Nation, alleging the company is financing efforts to undermine his law firm's cases against Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

Buzbee, who represents over 100 clients with allegations against Diddy, claims Roc Nation is backing two lawsuits filed against his firm by former clients. He asserts this is an attempt to intimidate him into dropping the Diddy cases.
According to Buzbee, recorded evidence shows Roc Nation investigators offering payments to his clients to file lawsuits against his firm. He shared a transcript where an investigator allegedly stated:
"We could get you paid... We gave this kid 1,000 bucks to start yesterday just to get him on the right path. At the end of the day, this is going to go through the courts, Buzbee is getting sued."
The lawsuit, filed in Harris County Texas, specifically alleges that Roc Nation is financing efforts to convince dozens of Buzbee's current and former clients to bring cases against his firm.
In response, a Roc Nation spokesperson told The Houston Chronicle: "Tony Buzbee's baloney lawsuit against Roc Nation is nothing but another sham. It's a pathetic attempt to distract and deflect attention. This sideshow won't change the ultimate outcome and true justice will be served soon."
Buzbee has stated his intention to cooperate with authorities to ensure all involved parties are prosecuted to the full extent of Texas law.
