The 100-page lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court's Central District of California, names 37 co-defendants and alleges a complex conspiracy to artificially boost Bored Ape NFT values.

According to the lawsuit, talent manager Guy Oseary, who represents Madonna and Yuga Labs, orchestrated a scheme where celebrities received secret payments through MoonPay in exchange for promoting Yuga Labs products. MoonPay, marketed as a service helping wealthy individuals purchase NFTs, allegedly served as a front for these undisclosed payments.

"The executives at Yuga and Oseary together devised a plan to leverage their vast network of A-list musicians, athletes, and celebrity clients and associates to misleadingly promote and sell the Yuga Financial Products," states the lawsuit.

Yuga Labs has firmly denied these allegations, stating, "In our view, these claims are opportunistic and parasitic. We strongly believe they are without merit, and look forward to proving as much."
