The arrest occurred in 2020 while shooting a music video in Baton Rouge, where authorities detained him along with 15 others and seized multiple firearms from the set.
Gaulden has been serving time in Utah since May on six charges of dangerous weapon possession and unlawful activity. His time served could reduce his remaining sentence to approximately 12 months.
Additional charges include:
- Identity fraud
- Forgery
- Possession of controlled substances
- Involvement in prescription drug fraud
In November, Gaulden pleaded guilty to his role in a prescription drug fraud operation run from his Utah mansion. He entered a "no contest" plea to remaining charges from a total of 46 related to the crime.
Despite his legal troubles, Gaulden maintained success on the Billboard charts, with five of his eight 2022 releases reaching the Top 10. His album "The Last Slimeto" peaked at #2, marking his final release under Atlantic Records before signing with Motown.
